Gold Leaf

Gold leaf paint effect creates a luxurious, shimmering finish that mimics the appearance of real gold, adding a sense of opulence and sophistication to any surface.

It enhances visual interest by reflecting light, making surfaces appear more dynamic and highlighting intricate details with a metallic luster. This effect is often used in art, interior design, and crafts to elevate the aesthetic appeal and create a focal point that exudes elegance and grandeur.

Application

Applying the gold leaf began with cleaning and smoothing the surface, before applying a base coat of paint or gesso in a complementary color. Next, we brushed on an adhesive called size.

The gold leaf sheets were then carefully placed onto the adhesive using a gilding brush. After the gold leaf was fully applied, we burnished it with a soft brush to smooth it out and enhance its shine, then applied a sealer to protect the delicate gold leaf from tarnishing and wear.
